These are my first films made between 1969 and 1972. Back then, we had to physically cut and splice film together in pieces, and amateurs like me were very limited in terms of special effects.
I would also use music of the day for my soundtrack. I would cut the film up according to the music or lyrics of a particular song. These, you might say were the first music videos (on film).
We had no copyright free music to use, so I recorded from records onto cassette to make the soundtrack. I would invite friends over to see my films, start the projector and hit the “play” button on my cassette player.
